I feel Bjørn Eidsvåg has taken complete ownership of this "genre" (sad songs with Norwegian lyrics).

 

 

If you are going down the 22. July memory lane, rap duo "Karpe Diem" played this on the memorial concert in 2011. It's not "sad" per se, but it hit hard anyway. If you understand Norwegian?

 

Although I also think some of the most melancholic music doesn't need any lyrics at all.
