Verdt å merke seg at både Telenor og Telia, som begge har lagt ned deres første forsøk på SMS+ tjenester brukte Google som backend*.

Mens SMS sendt i norske nett kan bli, og trolig blir**, avlyttet, vil Google sin løsning potensielt omgå den type bakdører med ende-til-ende-kryptering.
