Caddy Skrevet 4. juli 2020 Del Skrevet 4. juli 2020 Hei! Kjører for tiden 4 stk 3TB WD Red i en selvbygget filserver med OpenMediaVault. Nå har det begynnt å dukke opp slike meldinger i S.M.A.R.T loggen: Sitat Jul 04 18:08:28 server smartd[14360]: Device: /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD30EFRX-68AX9N0_WD-WMC1T2611253 [SAT], 15 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors Da jeg først så det, bestillte jeg en ny 3TB disk, som forsåvidt har ankommet. Men før den ankom tok jeg ut disken det gjelder, satt den i en USB3 dockingstasjon å kjørte både kort og lang S.M.A.R.T test via WD Data Lifeguard diagnostic for windows. Disken bestod begge testene og programmet rapporterte ikke om noen feil, og det er her jeg begynner å lure litt... Er disken på vei til å dø nå snart, eller er det OpenMediaVault som kuker seg på no vis? Kan jo mistenke SATA porten og eller kabelen også, men da skulle det vel ikke stått noe om dårlige sektorer...? Eller..? Det står forøvrig 4stk samsungdisker også i serveren, disse har også røde prikker på seg ang. S.M.A.R.T feil. ("Device has a few bad sectors") Men de dukker ikke opp i loggen slik som WD disken gjør. Rapporten fra OMV ligner veldig på hendelsesloggen min fra en disk med 70% bad sectors og I/O feil, så du skal ikke utelukke diskerstatning(er) i løpet av året. Lenke til kommentar
geir__hk Skrevet 4. juli 2020 Del Skrevet 4. juli 2020 Nå er jeg ikke noe ekspert på disker, men om jeg skal gjette på en forklaring må det være at første varsel er at det finnes en defekt sektor, men som nå er omlokkert. Det er enklere å svare på om du kan vise alle s.m.a.r.t. data for den aktuelle disken. Lenke til kommentar
