MurkyWeather Skrevet 15. april 2018 Del Skrevet 15. april 2018 Hei guys. I will keep this in English, sorry. Feel free to delete if necessary.I am trying to sell a laptop and a computer on finn.no and the 2 messages ( this is through SMS which I cannot answer back unless I mail them at the address they gave me ) I get is from 2 different people, but both of them want me to ship the item to U.K and the U.S. One of them says they will pay through finn.no secure pay system. It is extremely fishy. This is 99% a scam, since who the hell wants to send his/her son a computer in the U.S from Norway. The adress is [email protected] and [email protected] After some googling around it looks like it's some sort of PayPal scam where you send the item after they send the money and after that they just Chargeback the money or use a fake VISA card. Obviously Finn.no is under attack at the moment by these types of scammers. Can someone explain this sort of scam better maybe ? Am I right to be paranoid ? At the moment I have no proof of any wrongdoing, but who the hell wants to buy a laptop/pc from abroad ? Lenke til kommentar
Kyrre S. Skrevet 16. april 2018 Del Skrevet 16. april 2018 I have sold and purchased a lot of computer hardware on Finn.no. Here are some rules I always follow: - Always do the transaction face-to-face - Cash settlement (or Vipps) - If I buy something I want a receipt. I recommend all buyers to demand this. - If needed use a standard contract (i.e from forbrukerradet.no) - During the transaction I make it clear that when the deal is done - The deal is done! If the buyer wants to test the hardware before settlement I will arrange for this. So, quick answer: No I would not sell a laptop abroad. Only If they do wire-transfer in advance (but then the buyer would be naive..) There are some exceptions to my rules. F.i: If I were to buy or sell an item from/to a member of this forum, that I trust and have chatted with several times - I would not hesitate to just ship the item or the money. Lenke til kommentar

The scammers haven't even caught that finn.no stopped having a secure pay system. Endret 16. april 2018 av Sletttet+98134 Lenke til kommentar
