Bjorg Bjørnen Skrevet 25. oktober 2017 Del Skrevet 25. oktober 2017 Hi,I apologize before hand, my Norwegian isn't the best so I would post this in English.I have a washing machine, model: Samsung WD80j6400AW, it is placed on a tiled floor in the bathroom on the 2nd floor. The house is really old and I am guessing everything is made out of wood. The machine has been leveled, and transport screws have been removed, this is my 2nd washing machine I am trying, I used to have a Candy washing machine from the previous owner - which was a lot heavier, it shook the house but to a lesser extent compared to the Samsung. There is not that much room to place/move the washing machine in other locations.I have tried 2 vibration 'stoppers' from Class Olson, but they do not seem to help that much and the manufacturer suggests that I should not use them.I have also tried with a concrete block placed underneath the washing machine, but that wasn't of any help.I have looked on the web both in Norwegian and English for people which have the same problem. Unfortunately no one was able to solve this problem.Right now I am open to suggestions of a good washing machine which would not shake the whole house. (Of course if you have other suggestions as to how to help me out, I would be really grateful)Cheers and thanks in advance to anyone still reading Lenke til kommentar
the_last_nick_left Skrevet 25. oktober 2017 Del Skrevet 25. oktober 2017 Hi. I use one of these. It allows me to level the washing machine better and it provides some shock absorption. https://www.elkjop.no/product/hvitevarer/tilbehor-og-andre-hvitevarer/A352298/nordic-quality-stativ-m-skuff-vaskemaskin-torketrommel Lenke til kommentar
Taurean Skrevet 25. oktober 2017 Del Skrevet 25. oktober 2017 (endret) When you have tried that many solutions, i think the last option is to move it to the first floor. Spend a little money and time to change the room layout. Someone have their washing machine in the kitchen, how about it? I take it you do not have a basement? Maybe a garage, you could fit a small room there with insulation, a small heat fan and a drain solution? I have the same problem, but to a much lesser extent. The first one i bought was like a plane engine, hated that thing. I have had the thought of having super-strong screws in the ceiling (to the girders/beams), and hanging the washer from them, in some sort of super-strong rubber bands, just a few cm's over the floor ^^ Maybe some kind of the same material as they bungee-jump in... But that is a tad out of the box, perhaps ^^ Endret 25. oktober 2017 av Taurean Lenke til kommentar

But that is a tad out of the box, perhaps ^^ I live in a very old part of the city, and space is an issue - also I do not have access to the other floors, I see there's so many people struggling with this problem I came across a model of Whirlpool which has a very low noise level : https://www.elkjop.no/product/hvitevarer/vaskemaskin/FSCR80421/whirlpool-vaskemaskin-fscr80421 But of course, I want to see if there are alternatives, for example this appears to be the same washer: https://www.elkjop.no/product/hvitevarer/vaskemaskin/FSCR80620/whirlpool-vaskemaskin-fscr80620 In the reviews of the 2nd someone is mentioning that it stopped his house from shaking. 1 Lenke til kommentar
Rudde Skrevet 26. oktober 2017 Del Skrevet 26. oktober 2017 Have you considered lowering the washing load? How full do you put it? Washing machines tend to shake when they get unbalanced, usually from the loads distribution inside the drum, or some clothes that are very waster absorbent and others that are not on opposite sides. Maybe try it once, to see if it changes anything. Lenke til kommentar

Papirkurven Skrevet 26. oktober 2017 Del Skrevet 26. oktober 2017 Old house, 2nd floor and wood floor is like the worst thing for a washing machine. If the floor is unstable the machine will shake no matter what. The best thing to do is to put it as far in a corner you can. It also help alot If you make some floor support in the corder aswell. tigerdyr Skrevet 26. oktober 2017 Del Skrevet 26. oktober 2017 I forgot to mention the vibrations and shaking happen even if the washing machine is empty. Also Calibration mode has been run several times also. It needs stabilization, so first thing to do is make sure it's completely level on the floor with all four feet supporting it. Next thing to do is place something very heavy on top of it, something like 40-50 kg if you have anything that heavy that can sit securely on top of it. Maybe an old washing machine or old CRT style TV, they are generally very heavy as well. Lenke til kommentar
