[Løst] Fallout New Vegas - Exactly what country do the asian race originate from?

First off, this is in no way racist, I'm just really terrible at noticing stuff like this. I was wondering if I should give my new asian character a chinese name or a japanese name? I know in fallout 3 there's a DLC about the chinese invasion, so they most likely have a chinese origin in this game, but I need to be sure.  EDIT: Sorry about the language, I'm so used to writing stuff online in english, let me know if it needs to be changed. ^^"

It was always part of the official canon that the Great War was primarily between USA and its allies and USSR and China. So it would be fitting to play as a chinese if you're going to make an asian character.
