garb Skrevet 17. februar 2015 Del Skrevet 17. februar 2015 (endret) Har en gammel Acer Veriton M670G (64 bit) med 2 x 2Gb RAM som jeg ønsker å utvide med ytterligere 2 x 2 Gb (PCen klarer max 8 Gb). Sjekket PCen og fant ut at jeg trenger DDR3, så bestilte denne fra Komplett.no: Corsair Value S. DDR3 1333MHz 2GB CL9, Unbuffered, CL9-9-9-24, 240pin, 1.5V ... men de funket ikke - kommer bare en lang pipelyd om jeg prøver å starte PCen, og svart skjerm. Selve brikkene passer i slot'ene, men virker altså ikke. På Crucial sine nettsider står det at jeg skal ha denne: 4GB kit (2GBx2) DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.5V 256Meg x 64 ... men de koster 84 Euro totalt, inkl. frakt, så det burde finnes rimeligere f.eks på Komplett?? ---- >>>> Hvorfor virker ikke de RAM jeg har kjøpt på Komplett, og er det noen som har linker til kompatible RAM som er å få kjøpt i Norge til en ok pris? Det er ikke alltid slik mix up av ulike sett med ram fungerer. Hvis alt ser ut til å fungere når du ikke blander settene, så kan det godt tenkes at løsningen din er å sende tilbake brikkesettet du kjøpte av Komplett, og bytte det mot et 2 * 4 GB sett. Hvis du i tillegg laster ned HWinfo på maskinen din og skriver ned/poster all informasjon vedr hovedkortet ditt, så hadde det vært greit. Dette er en gammel PC jeg bruker til et par spesielle programmer, så har andre og nyere til mitt 'vanlige' bruk. Takk for at du sjekket - får nok uansett tak i noen brikker, så det skal gå bra Har sjekket på Acer's hjemmesider og funnet en BIOS oppdatering, men er det mulig å finne ut hvilken frekvens oppdateringen støtter? Her er link til oppdateringen: http://www.acer.no/ac/no/NO/content/drivers (Search by Product model - legg inn 'Veriton M670G' og klikk BIOS fanen i tabellen som kommer opp) Oppdateringen har versjon R01.A4. Hmmm ... har prøvd meg på BIOS oppdateringen og fulgt 'bruksanvisningen som ligger i ZIP-filen lastet ned fra Acer, og alt gikk greit inntil siste punkt på lista: 'Reboot system and Press "F1" to enter BIOS setup menu when the “Press F1 to Run SETUP” message appeared.' Det har jeg gjort, men det står ikke hvilke endringer man skal gjøre i oppsettet, så jeg valgte save & exit, og restartet PCen, men nå får jeg bare opp melding 'A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart' + at vifta går for fullt. Har prøvd å endre Boot Device rekkefølgen (kan velge mellom 'ST3640323AS', 'P1-HL-DT-ST DVDRAM', 'Generic USB SD Read' og 'LAN') men samme resultat ... Tips/råd? Lenke til kommentar

Det corsair value settet har garantert spd settinger for 1066 også i sin spd prom. Så problemet er nok ikke at de «kan» kjøre på 1333mhz max , men noe annet . Kanskje heller bank/rank konfigurasjonen påkrevd for hovedkortet. Ref 256Meg x 64 2Rx8 (6500) Når det er nevnt.Crucial sin ram konfigurator har jeg aldri hørt gi feil opplysninger om støttet minne. Har googlet litt, og er sanns knyttet til at jeg har en partisjonert disk, så den finner ikke 'rette' plassen å starte opp fra. Fant en 3-pin switch i maskinen som det stod 'CMOS' på, og kortsluttet den (byttet pinner), og satte tilbake, og det ser ut til at maskinen gikk lenger i oppstartssekvensen enn tidligere, men klarer fortsatt ikke å lese fra disk, så akkurat nå holder jeg på å back'e up HDD til en annen disk og vil formattere etterpå, for så å sette opp WIN fra bunn. Hadde vært knall om oppdatert BIOS støttet høyere frekvens, vil gjøre HDD'en om til udelt disk og se om jeg kommer videre derfra ... Lenke til kommentar

Så problemet er nok ikke at de «kan» kjøre på 1333mhz max , men noe annet . Kanskje heller bank/rank konfigurasjonen påkrevd for hovedkortet. Ref 256Meg x 64 2Rx8 (6500) Når det er nevnt.Crucial sin ram konfigurator har jeg aldri hørt gi feil opplysninger om støttet minne. (Den memory selector på dens egen side du legger inn produsent, produkt og modell), ... litt gresk for meg, men betyr det du sier at jeg kan tvinge RAM til å kjøre på lavere frekvens? ... er relativt fersk på 'innmaten' i en PC, så trenger litt forklaring - sorry ... Eks på 1600mhz moduler har man hadde spd data for 1600 (800) , 1333(667) , og 1066(533) hastighet lagret i tabellen i prom og hovedkort skal ta i bruk data fra den mest anvendelige detekterte hastighet systemet er kompatibel med. Tillegg til disse løse jedec data har nye moduler en profil til som Intel står bak ved navnet små. Alle moduler må ha en jedec spd tabell for 1333/1066 idag for kompatibilitet. Da tror jeg at jeg har fått PC'en i orden igjen. Måtte installere Windows på nytt etter HDD format, men hadde back-up, så ikke noe problem ... Fikk lagt inn oppdatert BIOS fra Acers hjemmesider, men ser ut til at også med oppdatert BIOS støttes max 1066mhx på RAM brikkene, så nå vil jeg skaffe meg noen nye brikker ...
