Kaggen Skrevet 2. desember 2014 Del Skrevet 2. desember 2014 (endret) Hei Ettersom min Macbook Pro 13" mid 2009 (med 2,53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo og 4GB RAM) lenge har vært treg vurderer jeg sterkt å oppgradere med dobbel RAM (8 GB, som er maks.), SSD-disk og nytt batteri (som knapt har kapasitet lenger). Vil det svare seg iom. at maskinen er fem år gammel? Etter skolestart i høst har jeg fått behov for å kjøre program som Autocad, Multisim og LabView, og det er det som gjør at jeg enten må kjøpe ny maskin eller oppgradere MBPen. Og det er kun takket være den CAD-optimaliserte GPUen at den fortsatt klarer Solidworks nokså greit. Basert på programmene du nevner tipper jeg at du kjører Windows? Hvis du åpner Resource Monitor så kan du følge med på hva som er flaskehalsen akkurat når du føler det går treigt. Tallene du skal se på er "CPU usage", "Highest Active time" og "Used physical memory". Og hvis du kjører powersaver eller annen strømsparingsmodus må du skru det av. Så langt har jeg greid meg uten Multisim og har derfor ikke brukt Windows selv om jeg har det liggende inne. Etter å ha forsket litt ser det ut som det er RAMen som kneler mest. CPUen har 80% inaktiv kraft når jeg har Chrome som eneste åpne program der jeg har 13 faner oppe og 25% til overs når jeg reloader en av disse. RAMen har 3,88 GB i bruk på samme tid. Har tatt et par tester med EtreCheck som jeg kan lime inn her. Jeg kjører ingen powersavers av noe slag. Kongeskipet Skrevet 21. januar 2015 Del Skrevet 21. januar 2015 Synes det var veldig mye minnebruk i forhold til antall faner. Er det bare Chrome som tar minnet, eller er det noe annet også? Hvor mye RAM-bruk har du etter maskinen er startet og før du starter noen programmer? Har du forsøkt å bytte nettleser og se om det samme skjer der? Min Windows-maskin har tilnærmet identiske spesifikasjoner (CPU/RAM/HDD). Der forsøkte jeg å se hvor mye RAM jeg fikk til å bruke i Firefox, og hadde dobbelt så mange faner uten at jeg kom under 1,2GB tilgjengelig RAM. Blant de fanene var det mange nyhetsforsider med masse reklame/flash og noen kart i tillegg til streetview. Jeg følte heller ikke at det gikk noe særlig treigere enn ved få faner. Testen min var riktignok på rask linje, så jeg merker ikke så fort om noe av cachen forsvinner og må lastes ned på nytt. Firefox er nok ganske beskjeden når det gjelder å holde på minne. Du kan selvfølgelig oppgradere RAM. Da må du kjøpe 2 stk 4GB-brikker av rette typen. Men hvis det skyldes en feil/minnelekasje i en nettside eller program, så kan du være så uheldig at den fortsatt bruker opp alt minnet. Derfor synes jeg det er lurt å feilsøke litt først. Ville forsøkt å reinstallere Chrome, eller eventuellt sett etter om det er en nettsidene som får chrome til å oppføre seg merkelig. Synes også det var litt mye med 2,6GB brukt av bare OS før du starter programmer, men så kjenner jeg ikke til hvordan OSX pleier å oppføre seg. Lenke til kommentar

Raskere ble det, men den lugger fortsatt litt... Nå vurderer jeg sterkt å heller kjøpe ny maskin (Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 ). Lenke til kommentar
