Please check if the following possible workarounds resolve this issue for you:
Ensure caps lock is off and retype your password correctly.
If you see a "launcher.exe.update" file in your root folder of Star Wars: The Old Republic, please rename it and afterwards run the fixlauncher.exe
Start the launcher and uncheck "remember account". Delete your account name, restart the launcher and re-enter your account information.
Reset your SWTOR password to something you have not previously used.
Please run the launcher "as administrator" after removing and re-adding swtor.exe and launcher.exe to the whitelist of your firewall and antivirus-application.
Delete the "assets_swtor_main.version" file in the assets folder of Star Wars: The Old Republic. This last option will result in a large download.
