Tonto Skrevet 6. september 2012 Del Skrevet 6. september 2012 Hey guys ! I am still looking for jobs in NO and I would like to know is there any min salary for 25 years old workers? I am still not 25 , but it's good to know in advance. For example , in some butikk , supermarket or some hotel , anything without education (just in the beggining).. How much your salary depends of your age , or it is individualy ? And what do you think about this ? Is this OK ? Lønn Byggeplasser Minstelønn per time: For faglærte: 169,- kroner For ufaglærte uten bransjeerfaring: 152,- kroner For ufaglærte med minst ett års bransjeerfaring: 158,40 kroner For arbeidstakere under 18 år: 102,- kroner Satsene gjelder fra 1. april 2012. BlueEAGLE Skrevet 6. september 2012 Del Skrevet 6. september 2012 Hello. There is by law no minimum wage in Norway. The wages are mostly governed by tariffs. The tariffs usually contains levels above and below 18 years of ages. Other than that they go by seniority and experience. Also you will find that the tariffs vary from sector to sector. Tonto Skrevet 6. september 2012 Forfatter Del Skrevet 6. september 2012 Takk for din svar ! Do you think it is real to expect 152 nok per time (ufaglærte uten bransjeerfaring) for butikk maybe ? I think it is fine money , but maybe it's lower. I hope it will not be lower than 130 nok per time, cause I don't know how big my skatt will be. I've been told that skatt is lower for strangers who are working in Norway , for the first two years .I heard that skatt starts with 28 %, and after two years it's regular , like 36 % . Takk igjen ! Herr Brun Skrevet 7. september 2012 Del Skrevet 7. september 2012 (endret) The salaries you have quoted in your first post are for construction workers, where all private construction companies are required by law to offer the minimum tariff wage. In a supermarket you'll definitely get less than that. Probably around 130 per hour, but not more. I get 132 at a supermarket, and I have 3-4 years of experience (part time) from the business. How much tax (skatt) you pay depends on how much money you make a year. Those who earn more also pay more tax. Me for example, I have about 180k income this year, and I pay around 22% tax. By the way, if you make say 130 NOK/hr working at a supermarket, you can expect getting paid additionally for working late shifts, weekends, overtime etc. And of course getting extra for seniority. Ahaaa ! Well , it's not brilliant but it's fine I guess. I hope It will not be maybe less than 130 :-/ That wouldn't be enough for living. I thought salaries are little better but I must start with smth ,so I will not complain that much. And what about overtid ? How many hours I can work after "regulary " 40 for a week ? I could maybe get 3000 nok more with overtid and with working on weekends ? Takk ! Lenke til kommentar
Herr Brun Skrevet 7. september 2012 Del Skrevet 7. september 2012 Most stores pay better on afternoons and weekends. You are entitled to at least 40% (by law - many tarifs say 50) more when working more than 9 hours per day or 40 per week. How much overtime you will work is hard for us to say. Lenke til kommentar
Tonto Skrevet 7. september 2012 Forfatter Del Skrevet 7. september 2012 Huh ! So it means I can have maybe maximum 15 000 nok after skatt . In best case and with overtid maybe. Brulejus Skrevet 8. september 2012 Del Skrevet 8. september 2012 You should also be aware of that is extremely difficult (almost impossible) to get a job in the service industry without speaking norwegian. That is, anything that requires contact with norwegian costumers. 2 Lenke til kommentar

I'm sorry, which law is that? It's not Arbeidsmiljøloven, is it? Google allmengjort tariffavtale. The minimum wage specified in a tariff agreement is quite far from being required by law to offer it. A construction company is not required by law to have a union nor a tariff agreement, but the construction workers union is so strong that they can leverage their collective powers to force construction companies to have tariff agreements. Still this is not something that is required by law. Lenke til kommentar

Now I've done it for you, and here's the result: http://www.arbeidsti....html?tid=90849 Construction workers have a lawful right to be paid the tariff. The same goes for some other businesses, like the ship building industry. Endret 9. september 2012 av Herr Brun Lenke til kommentar
BlueEAGLE Skrevet 9. september 2012 Del Skrevet 9. september 2012 Wow. Not sure how that is pursuant to AMIL or any other laws. I can find no reference in Lovdata.no which would allow for making such tariffs common for all workers within a sector. Do you know which law and/or convention these regulations are rooted in?
