Radiobredbånd og PS3 - hastighet?

Hei guys,

 

I would like to apologize first writing in English in a Norwegian forum, but my Norsk isn't that fluent yet to express my questions and so far I haven't been successful getting the right information from the internet.

 

I moved recently to Norway to Sør-Varanger. Now I would like to get an internet connection to our house, which ensures multiplayer gaming with my PS3. Coming from central Europe I am used to cable connection, which isn't the case up here and understandable. But I am a bit confused which connection to order and therefore I would like to ask you for your opinion.

 

We have no cable connection available - I contacted different providers. Some suggested ICE, but I haven't heard good things about them from people here. After some talks with neighbours and investigation in the internet, Direct Connect (www.directconnect.no) seems to be the most favorable solution for me.

 

Now my questions:

- Is this connection stable enough for multiplayer gaming with PS3 (I am aware that there are sometimes fluctuations possible) ?

- What bredbånd would you suggest (1000/200 and 2000/2000 are the only realistic ones here)?

- Has someone perhaps experience with DC and PS3 and could tell me their opinion? If yes, what's your ping?

- Is the montage of the antenna as supereasy as it seems?

- DC offers a "fast IP". I know what it is but I'm not a technician. Is it needed or suggested for my purposes?

Actually it also depents on witch games u are going to play.

 

The ping is very poor on radio, so in some cases, it will have negative influence on your game. (whatever speed u end up with)

 

Normaly its NOT recomended to play online on a radio connection, and im very sure you will experience issues.
