Da er enda 22 flere GH5 låter blitt bekrefta, så lista på første siden i tråden er nok ekte med noen små feil. Både Iggy Pop sin "Lust for Life" og Jeff Beck sin "Scatterbrain" som er nevnt i den andre ikke helt bekrefta lista er live-låter. Så der slapp litt positivet fra min del siden jeg virkelig ville ha Iggy Pop-låta i ikke-live versjon på spillet.

Første spillbar-karakter trailer, bekrefter 1.september som releasedato for GH5

 

 

Dette blir den andre bekrefta spillbare karaktern i spillet. Johnny Cash er allerede bekreftet.

Ikke at jeg forventa meg å si dette, men det virker som Guitar Hero 5 vil være en liten unnskyldning for rettningen Guitar Hero har gått det siste året.

 

De har virkelig lagt litt arbeid ned i challanges og, så kanskje GH5 tar over plassen til RB2 litt hos meg?

Bright gives us an example of one of the challenges.

 

“We wanted to kind of exploit what was cool and unique about the different songs,” he tells us. “So if you take David Bowie’s ‘Fame,’ there’s like 24 or 25 descending ‘fames’ [on the vocals]. He just goes lower and lower. But those sections, they’re really hard to nail, so we wanted to kind of exploit that.”

 

In this instance, completing the Gold level challenge means hitting 5 of the “fame” notes, 20 for Platinum, and 24 for Diamond. The different thresholds are set as goals for players of varying skill levels, with Gold being obtainable by “Easy” or “Medium” level players, and Diamond only by those who play on “Expert.”

 

“The cool thing is, we did want some of the Diamond Level challenges to be fairly difficult, because you know there are plenty of ‘Expert’ level players out there at this point,” Bright explains. “So we did want to give them a challenge, [but] we didn’t want them to be frustrating or annoying. They’re all tuned to be fun; they’re not hoops you have to jump through. You don’t even have to do them if you don’t want.”

 

But you’re probably going to want to nail them, not just for personal satisfaction, but to obtain all of Guitar Hero 5’s unlockable items, characters, venues, and in-game instruments. Gone is the cash earned to purchase unlockables, replaced by the challenges and stars earned to mark your career progression. Completing the aforementioned “Fame” challenge and achieving “Platinum” unlocks the “Sartorial Eloquence” outfit for Guitar Hero rocker Johnny.

 

As such, Bright says that you’ll be able to earn a total of nine stars while playing these challenges.

 

“You can get between one and six stars on a song,” he tells us. “You’d have to play really bad to get one, and you’d have to play perfect for six. Then you can earn an extra three stars by earning the different levels of those Gold, Platinum, and Diamond challenges.”

Xbox-avataren din i Guitar Hero 5

We're always lamenting how few things our precious Xbox Live Avatars are good for, but this seems like a darn fine implementation of them: Activision announced today that you'll be able to import your e-doppelganger into your Guitar Hero 5 band to rock alongside the other characters that you've created. (We're hoping there won't be any prejudice against the curiously malformed musicians taking the stage, but you never can tell.)

 

The possibilities are endless. For starters, your Avatar could play alongside Kurt Cobain and whisper the encouragement in his ear he so desperately needed, thereby keeping him from taking his own life and changing the very course of history. Or, if you want to keep it simple, an all LeChuck band. The mind boggles.

Akkurat det med avataren ser ut til å bli ganske stilig!

 

Hvordan er egentlig disse spillene for en som bare spiller gitar og ikke er interessert i fullt band?

Helt greit, og man får med gitar velge mellom å spille bass og gitar. Bassen er såklart enklere å spille for de fleste. Men jeg synes personelig ikke at å spille bare gitar og bass viser mye av potensiale i disse spillene. Band-spilling og variasjon i intrumenter gir dette.

 

Forresten blir ting anderledes i GH5 da hvem som helst kan spille hvilket som helst av de 4 mulige intrumentene så f. eks 4 trommiser, 4 vokalister, 1 vokalist og 3 gitarister. Mulighetene er så mang da.

Are you ready to do your best Jagger? Activision certainly hopes so -- a recent press release has revealed the first DLC pack for Guitar Hero 5: A quintet of Rolling Stones tracks. Dropping September 3 (two days after the game hits store shelves), the pack includes live cuts of "Prodigal Son," "You Gotta Move," "Under My Thumb," "I'm Free," and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." You can bring the whole British Invasion to your console of choice for just 720 ($9, 900 Wii Points) or get single songs from the pack for 160 ($2, 200 Wii Points).

Strumbaren er visst forbedret. Den på WT-gitaren tåler i grunn alt for lite.

i got to try gh5 for a couple of hours today. its basicaly a rb2 clone with a hint of rr challenges. the whole game focus on band play. i played about 15 songs and actually quit a few because of really bad note charts. setlist didnt impress much either...

Han er en av de på vennelista mi som spiller mest Rockband og Guitar Hero, og som har som meg alle spillene i seriene. Vi snakket videre, og kom fram til at begge alikevel skal ha det. Han er norsk og, men sendte dette ut som fellesmelding til et par stykker som meg blant annet.
