Task 1 Focus Magazine is a new monthly magazine. The editor has asked for comments from the readers. Write two paragraphs about your impressions of the magazine. • The first paragraph should say what you like about the magazine and why • The second paragraph should comment on how the magazine could be improved Task 2 There are several newspaper articles in this magazine. Choose one article which you find interesting. Is the article you have chosen a good example of this particular type of text? Why/whynot? • Write a couple of paragraphs Task 3 Longer answer Choose ONE of the tasks from 3A to 3F. You can use information, ideas, useful words and phrases etc. from the texts you worked with on preparation day if you want to. Task 3A Write a new text to fit in with one of the Magazine sections : On the Street OR Changing Me OR Boxing • State which section you are writing for and where you would place your text in that section • Relate your text to the topic • Refer to at least one other text already in the magazine • Introduce a different opinion/point of view Task 3B The next issue of Focus Magazine will have a section on the consequences of being famous. Write a factual text/article about a famous person for this next issue of the magazine. • Explain why this person is important • Persuade the readers of his/her importance • Include at least three significant facts • End your article by giving your considered opinion about the consequences of being famous. Task 3C Write a text with the following title: Remember, beauty is only skin deep. • Choose and state your own genre • Refer to at least one text or picture from Focus Magazine • Include personal thoughts and experiences • Conclude with a piece of advice for your readers Task 3D Continue the story of one of the people in Focus Magazine – real or imaginary. • Make it clear who and where you are • Write as if you are the person • Refer to what has happened before in the story/picture • Create a good ending to this part of the story Task 3E “The best things in life are free.” Lots of people in Focus Magazine have met challenges and have faced the challenges without money. Write a personal account of how you handle challenges and give one or two examples. • Choose and state your own genre – a story, a diary, a letter, a confession etc. • Refer to at least one of the people in Focus Magazine • Include personal thoughts and experiences • State whether you are happy with the way you handled things Task 3F In Skin by Roald Dahl in Part B, the old man’s decision to enter the art gallery changed his life forever. Trenger Hjelp.no Skrevet 20. november 2018 Del Skrevet 20. november 2018 (endret) Hjelp søkes! Vi i 9.trinn har tentamen i Engelsk I morgen. Og vi har da fått temaet "You and me". Vi har lett etter oppgavene på nett lenge uten hell så hvis noen værsåsnill kunne prøvd å komme på hva oppgavene var hadde det vært fantastisk!
