At GCSE/NQ Standard Grade level, 61.3 per cent of pupils in their last year of compulsory schooling gained 5 or more passes at grades A*-C/1-3. * Estimated expenditure on education services by central and local government in the UK in 2007-08 represented 5.4 per cent of Gross Domestic Product - an increase of 0.1 percentage points from 2006-07.
