Jeg gjør alt for å vinne (når jeg spiller mot strangers), kan stå å trikse med keeperen i en omgang om det trengs.

 

Jeg forstår personlig ikke at noen gidder å gjøre det her. Jeg møtte en i går som begynte å gjøre det på 0-0. Det endte med at jeg måtte legge om til 3-4-1-2, ultra-offensivt og høyt press, for å vinne ballen. (Det er tross alt ufattelig lett å holde på ballen i 80 min, om man vil) Han scoret et heldig mål, og trillet ball gjennom hele kampen. Gørrkjedelig, men jeg kan ikke annet enn å synes synd på de som har så liten tiltro til egne ferdigheter. Pinlige saker, men folk får gjøre som de vil. FIFAs svar på Stoke-fotball. Hvis alle hadde gjort det, hadde jeg gitt opp spillet, men heldigvis spiller de fleste det for underholdningens skyld.

What I CAN confirm, though, is that circa FIFA 10 the dev team did invest a load of time and money thoroughly investigating their code to examine the possibility that 'momentum-'like' effects could somehow emerge (unintended) in the game. That investigation was carried out in response to claims from our forum members - claims that are more or less identical to the ones we're seeing now.

 

Of course, the development guys knew then what they know now, which is that they certainly haven't designed anything into the game to have that effect. But they investigated anyway, just to make sure. The result was a resounding negative: No measurable 'scripting' effects here. And there still aren't.

 

So, my apologies if you've got the impression that EA aren't willing to respond to this topic, for whatever reason. The truth is that anyone who's been knocking about these forums for a while will know that we've been through this debate before, and to some significant depth, too.

 

While there are innumerable variables involved in every game played, causes bringing about effects at every turn, I can guarantee you there there is nothing prescribed in the game to deliberately change outcomes one way or another in any certain circumstances.

 

Once again, there is no scripting. After all, that wouldn't be fair, and there's nothing more important to the dev team than creating a game that's as fair and balanced as possible for anyone playing it.

 

The one variable that's almost certainly got most to do with this, however, is the one it's toughest to define or quantify: The human mind's infinite capacity to perceive conspiracy in the smallest of things; to construct order and meaning from the chaos. Ater playing hundreds of games, you're going to see patterns and repetitious outcomes. That's the nature of a videogame - any videogame - constrained by the bounds of programming and disk space. But it's very wrong to build out of that some sort of intent on the dev team's part that simply isn't there.

 

 

 

To reiterate - the development team investigated this issue in FIFA 10 to ensure no unintended "momentum/scripting" behavior was present in the game; that investigation definitively showed that there was not. We've done the same this year, and the end result is the same - momentum/scripting does not exist within FIFA 12.

Momentum = mumbo jumbo.

 

Enkelte mener at det er script i FIFA når du slipper inn mål rett etter du selv har scoret. Eventuelt at man etter å ha ledet med 2-3 mål, plutselig spiller som en tulling. Det er selvsagt ikke spilleren, men SPILLET som sørger for slike svingninger i kampbildet...
