Debian; "Halv skjerm"

Anbefalte innlegg

Hei.

Min lille teori foreløbig er;

Annen informasjon;

Sjekk denne tråden for noen fungerende eksempler. Google og forumsøk rundt XF86Config og noe hardware-spesifikt burde kunne hjelpe deg.

Vil du ha hjelp her bør du poste XF86Config-fila di.

Selvfølgelig kan du få den. Nå er det vel slik med debian at konfigurasjonsfilen er XF86Config- 4, og ikke XF86Config? XF86Config- 4 får du her;

Og let me know om dere trenger flere konfigurasjons filer.

Fra manualen til XFree86 versjon 4.3.0:

XF86Config(5)    XFree86 XF86Config(5)

NAME

      XF86Config - Configuration File for XFree86

DESCRIPTION

      XFree86uses  a  configurationfile called XF86Config for its initial

      setup.  This configuration file is searched for in the following places

      when the server is started as a normal user:

  /etc/X11/<cmdline>

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/<cmdline>

  /etc/X11/$XF86CONFIG

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/$XF86CONFIG

  /etc/X11/XF86Config-4

  /etc/X11/XF86Config

  /etc/XF86Config

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config.<hostname>

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config-4

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config

  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config.<hostname>

  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config-4

  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config

      where  _cmdline_ is a relative path (with no ".." components) specified

      with the -xf86config command line option, $XF86CONFIG is  the  relative

      path  (with no ".." components) specified by that environment variable,

      and _hostname_ is the machine's hostname as reported by gethostname(3).

      When the X server is started by the "root" user, the config file search

      locations are as follows:

  <cmdline>

  /etc/X11/<cmdline>

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/<cmdline>

  $XF86CONFIG

  /etc/X11/$XF86CONFIG

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/$XF86CONFIG

  $HOME/XF86Config

  /etc/X11/XF86Config-4

  /etc/X11/XF86Config

  /etc/XF86Config

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config.<hostname>

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config-4

  /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config

  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config.<hostname>

  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config-4

  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config

      where _cmdline_ is the path specified with the -xf86config command line

      option  (which  may  beabsolute or relative), $XF86CONFIG is the path

      specified by that environment variable (absolute or relative), $HOME is

      the  path  specified  by  that  environment  variable (usually the home

      directory), and _hostname_ is the machine's  hostname  as  reported  by

      gethostname(3).

Her bestemmer du fargedybden.

Aargh!

vga-driveren takler ikke mer enn 256 farger:

http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=v...3.0&format=html

Da må du prøve med mga-driveren istedenfor. Bytt ut vga med mga, og sjekk

http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=m...3.0&format=html

Før du svarte prøvde jeg med et annet skjermkort, og da var skjermen hel igjenn. Altså er det nokk skjermkortet. (kjøre selvfølgelig konfigurasjonsverktøyene på nytt, men lot skjerminstillingene være). Etter det har jeg også funnet spec til skjermen min. Fant en driver til den for Win98, og der fant jeg maks oppløsning, og oppløsning;

[1406.AddReg]

HKR,"MODES1024,768",Mode1,,"30-50,50-90,-,-"

HKR,,MaxResolution,,"1024,768"
