Alpha test for Catalysm, sannsynligvis scam

Hei, jeg fikk i dag mail fra [email protected] om at jeg var blitt invitert til Alph testing av Catalysm. Jeg regner med at det er en scam, men vil ha sikkert svar. Det er vel litt tidlig å sende ut dette nå? Dersom det er en scam kan det være en god advarsel for andre. Den havna i søppelpost. Men jeg legger den ved, så kan dere si hva dere tror. Jeg har IKKE klikka linkene, og anbefaler ingen andre å gjøre det heller.

Getting started:

 

In order to participate in the alpha test, you must upgrade an existing retail account that has been upgraded with Wrath of the Lich King, allowing you to connect to the Cataclysm™ test realms. The World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King game client that you use must be patched up to version 3.3.2 or later in order to install the alpha test client.

 

Go to http://"""alpha.worldofwarcraft.com""" and follow the detailed, step-by-step instructions to begin playing the World of Warcraft - Cataclysm Alpha.

 

Please be prepared to enter the current retail World of Warcraft account name and password you use, and the appropriate alpha code listed below to authenticate your eligibility to connect to the Cataclysm test realms. To participate in the beta tests, you must have a valid retail World of Warcraft account active and in good standing.

 

Below is a beta code that will allow you to upgrade a World of Warcraft account to be eligible for the Cataclysm alpha test. Each alpha code can be used only once to upgrade an active retail World of Warcraft account.

Saavidt jeg vet er det bare tilgjengelig for venner og ansatte i blizzard tho, og bare de i USA. Skader ikke aa proeve key'en iallefall.

Hvis du har fått invite så kommer den automatisk opp på battle.net slik at du bare kan installere derifra så vidt jeg vet .... (og "public" invites er ikke gitt ut enda)

Nei, en guildie har tilgang til alpha (han bor i USA) og la til en cdkey i bnet kontoen for aa faa tilgang.

Jeg hadde venta til en av de store wow-nyhetssidene bekrefter at public invites går ut før jeg i det hele tatt vurderer en e-post jeg får av noen. Det er meg, riktignok.

Jepps. Og iom at alpha nå er "friends and family only" så er det jo helt usannsynlig at "vanlige" folk skulle få en sånn mail.

Currently, with the StarCraft II beta, players who were selected were sent an email and were asked to log into their Battle.net account to access the beta download. Cataclysm beta should work similarly.
