Handlet ekstrautstyr til headset (lydkabel og øreputer) hos hifiheadphones.co.uk for 39.51 GBP. De var kjappe med å sende ut utstyret, bare 14 timer senere var pakken (tilsynelatende) sendt avgårde. Men i dag, fire dager etter ordren, fikk jeg denne e-posten om kredittkortsvindel: Dear ***, It has been brought to our attention by a small number of our customers that their cards have been used to make fraudulent transactions after making purchases at our online store (www.hifiheadphones.co.uk). We are contacting you because we suspect that your card details may also have been compromised. Once initial reports were received we immediately contacted our payment service provider (Lloyds TSB CardNet) and they have confirmed that there was a security breach with the card processing gateway and that some card details have been cloned (i.e. card information stolen and used to pay for goods fraudulently). We strongly recommend that you contact your credit/debit card company to report the problem and ask that the card used to make the transaction with hifiheadphones.co.uk be re-issued. Please also check your card statement since your order to verify that no unusual transactions are listed. If you do find any unexpected transactions contact your card company or bank, report the fraud and request that a chargeback be raised. This will ensure that you do not face any loss personally. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this security breach may have caused you. Since it was reported we have been working hard with Lloyds TSB CardNet to investigate and resolve the problem. Please do be assured that the matter is being taken very seriously by both ourselves and Lloyds TSB CardNet. The source of the security breach has now been located and preventative action has been taken to fix it and prevent it from happening again in the future. Ringte og sperret kortet, og i følge kundebehandleren, vil jeg få refundert beløpet (eller deler av beløpet) om jeg skulle ha blitt svindlet. Jeg har ennå ikke fått sjekket om det har blitt reservert noen uttak, ettersom Postbankens nettbank atter er nede. Forhåpentiligvis ordner dette seg på fint vis. Men kjipt likevel at slikt skjer.
