Compton Manor are visited by thousands of people ever year. The house was built in 1550, but it were destroyed by a fire in 1630. It was owned by Sir Lucas Leech. The Manor was restored in 1650. Sometimes people who stay in the house were waking up at night. Strange noises was heard from upstairs, and the lights were turning on and off. It were said that the manor was haunted by two ghosts, a woman and a child. They were murdered at the manor in the 18th century. Since then, they have seen many people.

The woman was last seen in 1995, but the child has not been observed since 1963.
