Skal ha en engelsk presentasjon om en person jeg ser opp til, så jeg valgte og skrive om Bill Gates.

Vet selv at det sikkert er en del feil i denne, men tar imot forslag til hva jeg kan droppe å ta med, eventuelt noe stoff jeg kan ta med.

Hello everybody!

My name is Henning and I am going to have an presentation about one of my Idols. Bill Gates.

Bill Gates or William Henry “Bill” Gates the third was born in October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington.

His father’s name is William H. Gates. Senior and his mother is Mary Maxwell Gates.

His family was in the upper middle class, so they had pretty much money.

His father was a prominent lawyer, while his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate BancSystem and the United Way.

Gates has one older sister, and her name is Kristi and a younger sister, Libby.

Already when he was a child, his parents had a law career in mind for their son.

 

When he was 13 years old, he enrolled in the Lakeside School , which is an exclusive preparatory school where he found his interests for programming.

Because when he was in the eighth grade, the Mothers club at the school used proceeds from Lakeside School’s rummage sale to buy an ASR-33 teletype terminal and a block of computer time on a General Electric computer for the students on the school.

So Gates took interest in programming the GE system in Basic, so he was excused from math classes to pursue his interests.

So with this computer he made his first computer program that allowed users to play games against the computer.

So this is where the programming started.

In 1973 he started on Harvard and came in contact with Paul Allen and they made a programinglanguage called Altari BASIC.

So I 1975 they started Microsoft Corporation to Market their own version of BASIC, wish was Microsoft BASIC.

Early in his carrier he had focus on collecting license for software and the big breakthrough for Microsoft came in 1981 when the made a license to IBMs first pc.

And from the end of the 1980’s he has earned big success with Microsoft Windows.

Microsoft is running on about 90% of the computers in the world today.

 

Now he is married with Melinda French from Dallas, Texas and they have three children’s, Jennifer, Rory and Phoebe.

Together with his wife Melinda he has an foundation called Bill&Melindas Foundation which is the largest transpartely operated private foundation in the world.

The primary aims for this foundation are, globally to enhance healthcare and reduce extreme poverty, and in America to expand educational opportunities and access to information technology.

Bill Gates has chosen to put almost all of his money in this foundation, wich I think is great. Because he uses his money very kind and he helps other peoples to have a better life.

I admire Bill Gates because I think he is a great person!

He made his own company with software that he developed by himself with help from some other persons.

He doesn’t spend all his money on luxuries but he uses a lot of his money to help peoples and I wish that I can become a successful man like Bill.

Sånn, i helhet så burde du jobbe med setningene dine. De kan integreres bedre. Prøv å unngå oppramsing.

"So (...). So (...)" og "His family (...). His (...)". Flett de heller inn i hverandre så det blir bedre flyt i språket.

Men er det noe informasjonsmessig som mangler, eller noe som er unødvendig og ha med?

Gjør det om til notater, slik at du ikke står å leser fra et ark 100% av tiden. Enda bedre, lær det såpass at du ikke trenger arket. Det har jeg gjort et par ganger og, tro meg, det imponerer lærere.
