[Løst]RAID/LVM må gjenoppbygges etter oppstart [Ubuntu 9.04]

Har to RAID-array som sammen former et LVM. Mounter LVM'et i fstab som jeg gjorde i 8.10, men etter at jeg oppgraderte til 9.04, så skjer det noe i oppstarten. For å få det til å fungere må jeg stoppe begge arrayene, gjenoppbygge og scanne pv, vg og lv på nytt for å bygge opp LVM.

 

Har søkt litt rundt, men de fleste bug reports som kan ligne på dette, er de som har problemer med array/LVM som OS-disk.

 

Har kommet så langt at jeg fant det nedenfor i Log Viewer, men ellers er jeg relativt fersk når det gjelder feilsøking på spesifikke problemer i Ubuntu.

Ser at jeg får "Uknown partition table" i loggen. Noen som har en formening om hvordan jeg kan løse dette?

Ja, stemmer. Etter en reboot er raid-arrayene "ødelagt", og må stoppes før de kan bygges på nytt. Når de er gjenoppbygd og LVM er satt opp igjen, er alle data intakt.

 

Har svigerfar og svigerbestemor på besøk et par dager, så får ikke gjort så mye akkurat nå. Skal absolutt sjekke ut linkene dine etterhvert.

Virker som et snodig problem. :hmm:

 

Hva er output av følgende kommandoer (som root/med sudo), gjerne både rett etter reboot, etter gjenoppbygging av raid og helt til slutt...

cat /proc/mdstat

pvs

vgs

lvs

Som sagt, etter kommandoen ovenfor så bygges RAID-arrayene korrekt, men LVM ser ikke ut til å "starte".

 

Output som du spurte etter:

Edit 3: Håper jeg har funnet feilen her. Venter på at en DVD skal brenne ferdig før jeg rebooter...

 

md_component_detection (em If set to 1, LVM2 will ignore devices

used as components of software RAID (md) devices by looking for md superblocks. This doesn't always work satisfactorily e.g. if a device has been reused without wiping the md superblocks first.

 

Har forandra i /etc/lvm/lvm.conf slik:

 # By default, LVM2 will ignore devices used as components of
# software RAID (md) devices by looking for md superblocks.
# 1 enables; 0 disables.
md_component_detection = 0

Oh yeah, fikk ordna det :)

 

Gjorde tre ting, og jeg tror alle tre hadde sin funksjon.

 

1. Oppdaterte /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf:

mdadm --examine --scan --config=mdadm.conf >> /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf

2. Redigerte /etc/lvm/lvm.conf:

# By default, LVM2 will ignore devices used as components of
# software RAID (md) devices by looking for md superblocks.
# 1 enables; 0 disables.
md_component_detection = 0

3. Endret fstab til å mounte /dev/lvmg/storage istedet for ved UUID.

 

Nå funker det :)
