Nexxi Skrevet 17. april 2003 Del Skrevet 17. april 2003 Mario Kart finished Shigeru Miyamoto confirms that Mario Kart GC is finished - so just how much longer are they expecting us to wait? Mario Kart for the GameCube is complete, Nintendo legend Shiguru Miyamoto has confirmed, and while it will not feature online play, multi-player options have not been ignored. Four-player split-screen is very much in evidence, but that's not all. In a system similar to the PS2 i-Link, you'll be able to daisy-chain two 'Cubes together for eight-player action on two TVs. Still, the fact that we've seen no screenshots or video footage and heard no game information whatsoever does make us worry slightly. Finished? Good for you! Now SHOW IT TO US. Versions of Mario Kart on the SNES, GBA and N64 are the stuff of legends, so a new version will undoubtedly generate dump-trucks full of money for Nintendo. The game is tentatively scheduled for July over here, so get your GBA out and start practising. ____________________________________ Mario Kart LAN true after all? We posted an April Fools joke some while ago, saying that Mario Kart GC would the first LAN game on GC, it looks like it turned out to be true, just that it won't need an extra GC as server (for playing in LAN in that joke you needed 3 GC's). The Japanese magazine Quiter says that Mario Kart GC won't be available as an online game on E3, but it will be presented as a LAN game. Two GameCubes can be connected to get a maximum of four players and what you'll need will be: - Two TV's - Two GameCubes - Of course two Mario Kart games - And a Broadband adapter Hum, tidenes beste multiplayer spill inntar Cuben! YBD Skrevet 24. april 2003 Del Skrevet 24. april 2003 The latest in the acclaimed Mario Kart series is here, and this time, you won't be racing alone! Each kart holds two racers, so choose from Mario, Luigi, Peach, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Yoshi, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Koopa, and Paratroopa and pair them up any way you see fit. The character in front handles the driving duties, while the character in the rear doles out damage with six normal items and eight special items that only specific characters can use. Racers can swap places at any time, so switch it up on the fly to make the best use of your items as you tear around curves and over huge elevation changes.
