SAS øker "prisen" for oppgradering med poeng

Anbefalte innlegg

Hei

Edit:

Brev til SAS:

Dear SAS-Eurobonus

Since 2003, as a Eurobonus member and loyal SAS customer, I have experienced a constant decline in the benefits and rewards from being a Eurobonus member and SAS customer. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who has experienced this and this can be clearly seen on your market share of the Scandinavian market and also your recent traffic figures.

The last occurrence to this steady decline is your recent suggestion for new rules regarding award tickets and upgrades using points. Especially the latter part where the new rules says an economy to business upgrade will cost 50.000 Eurobonus points, and an economy to economy extra upgrade will be 20.000, I do feel is a mistake. Taken into account that these upgrades ar both at the gate and stand-by, then will cost more than a confirmed award ticket makes it beyond my understanding why you introduce these new fares. By doubling or nearly doubling the amount needed for an upgrade and increasing the amount needed for award tickets, I feel the few remaining benefits and reason for being a Eurbonus member and using SAS as my preferred carrier is being removed

The main mistake SAS did with Eurobonus was the introduction of the 25% earnings rules for many of your economy fares some years ago. Many customers could probably accept reduced earning for the cheapest tickets and special offers. However with today's rules, too many booking fares fall into the 25% category, and some of these do not fall into the definitions of cheap tickets.

As it has become gradually more difficult to earn points, together with this proposed increased price of using points, Eurobonus is unfortunately on its way to become worthless and I'm finding it harder to justify why choosing SAS instead of your competitors. Both in comparioson to other network carriers with more generous frequent flyer programs and low cost carriers

I therefore hope that SAS Eurobonus will reconsider these proposed changes, in addition to do a re-evaluation of the earnings structure. By doing this, SAS will again have one of the best frequent flyer program, that again can make you win new customers and keep your old ones and SAS again will be the prefered carrier to and from Scandinavia.

Best regards
