Igu Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Hello! I'd need help to pick out parts for a fast performance Gaming PC that can run most of the new games with High/max Graphics. First of all I would need to know which one is better; Intel or AMD. I've only ever used AMD myself so I really don't know much about Intel. Second I'd like to know if I should buy a SSD or a HDD? I've heard that SSD is very good speed and performance wise. I really don't need all that much space on my HD, 250-300 gigs should do. I don't need a case as I already own a: http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=342369 And I would really like the power supply and the Graphics card(s) to fit inside the case among everything else. Really hope someone can help me out here Just list the complete computer in parts here from Komplett.no or perhaps some other Norwegian online computer store. (cheap one please) So, my budget is 25000 NOK. Please help! Thanks in Advance! -Igu Lenke til kommentar
Zapmi Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Hi there. Here is a complete computer list of parts from Komplett.no http://www.komplett.no/k/shoplist.aspx?mod...A8-3D9DBE6ABA4C it's about kr. 26000,- now, but it can be changed. It's 2 XFX GeForce GTX 295 576M 1792MB PhysX in SLI, that is the best Graphics card out in the marked today. But i havent taken any computer screens, keyboard, gaming mouse or speakers. Is it okay ? The Stig Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Well, Komplett isn't all that cheap, just so you know. Also, a dual GTX 295 system is an insane overkill, and you would never actually get to use all that power. Games simply aren't tweaked for dual GFX, and in my opinion, it's a dying technology. And even if you do have 25k to spend, buying the insanely overpriced i7 platform is madness, I would split the money in half and buy the best of the current generation, and wait a year - then buy another just like it from the then current gen. It will last twice as long. Lenke til kommentar
The Stig Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Regarding what's best between Intel and AMD, without starting a fanboy war - I would say that there is little doubt that Intel has the performance on their side, both for the last, current and (from what we've seen) the next generation of CPU's. The problem though, as I mention, is the price. Beklager dobbelpost, migrering funksjonen funka ikke ... Lenke til kommentar
Gjest Slettet+3165 Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 15. januar 2009 (endret) You could do as the Stig mention, or you can go it all out and buy this setup from netshop. Adjust the memory down to 6gb if you want to save some money. I have added a SSD for operative system and some programs, the other HDD can you adjust after how much the diskplace you need. And if you order this setup, be aware of that you choose the noctua with LGA1366 mounting brackets. But a gaming a setup to around 12-14k will do the most for everyone. From 14k and upwards the price gives you little power. Edit: Sorry for bad english! Endret 15. januar 2009 av Slettet+3165 Lenke til kommentar

You seem to know a thing or two Mind making me a list of complete parts of a computer you think I could manage with. Also, the faster it is the better of course. Thanks Lenke til kommentar

I mean, does it speed up games anyhow to play from SSD? Also, I need nowhere near as much disk space as 2TB. 300 gigs would probably be enough for me. Anyway, I mainly need a fast running PC so Performance is what I'm going for. Lenke til kommentar
nerikk Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 15. januar 2009 (endret) I dont think u need both SSD and an HDD :/ just buy a western digital 10000 rpm disc (i cant remember its name) with 300 gigs and u are done my friend Regarding Graphics card i agree with Stig SLI 295 is overkill! Its better to just buy one ATi 4870X2 instead The cpu, i will recommend a Intel cpu Maybe my English writing went a little fast but, atleast i tried Endret 15. januar 2009 av nerikk Lenke til kommentar
Gjest Slettet+3165 Skrevet 15. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 15. januar 2009 If you don't need more then 300gb with with space buy one of these or just choose the 500gb version of the one I mentioned earlier, wich is only about 500kr, and they ain't so much slower either. But I would choose the SSD to your operative system and "toughest" programs though, especially with you budget. Choose the gtx295, wich actually is a more powerful card then 4870x2, and some call it the most powerful card that is on the market today. But I can say that everything in the link are there to give you as much performance as possible (maybe to much, 12gb ddr 1600 is silly xD) Again, sry for bad english! Lenke til kommentar

You should buy another HDD atleast.. But the rest of the PC is really good ! If you want that the look of your pc should be great, Noctua CPU Fan is not the prettiest one.. Gjest Slettet+3165 Skrevet 16. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 16. januar 2009 (endret) The noctua isn't the most pretty one indeed, but it is one of the best aircooler on the market, as it cools very well, but are still very quiet! It also gets delivered with two fans, one on each side! That would be a kickass machine indeed, but are you sure 150gb is enough? Many games take easly 10GB today. You also maybe want to buy something like this to mount the SSD easy inside your case. Endret 16. januar 2009 av Slettet+3165 Lenke til kommentar
