Langfat Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 My 360 died over Christmas and I figured out it would cost me as much to ship it back to America and get it fixed as it would to buy a new one here, so I decided to pick up an Arcade instead. I figured I would grab a Jasper unit as they are supposed to improve the problem with the RROD. So I went looking for a Jasper 360 in downtown Oslo today and here are my results: - Gamestop seems to be sold out of 360 arcades all over the city. The guy at Byporten said they would probably get more either today or early next week. - At the GAME store on kirkegata the lady behind the counter had NO IDEA what I was talking about, but there was a guy with a British accent who seemed to know what was going on. He said he would check for me and then went in the back for a while, but when he came out he said they didn't have any. He was in there for a while, so I'll take his word for it, but since I didn't check myself, I can't confirm. - Clas Ohlson at Torgata had 3 units on display, but they were all Falcons. I could see the finger marks on the box from other Jasper hunters before me, looking for the number of Amps! The one in Oslo City seemed to be sold out. - Spaceworld in Paleet had some out on display too, but they were Falcons and I even saw one Zephyr! They also had other packs but I didn't check since I don't want to pay for another hard drive or extra controllers. - The big Spaceworld downtown said they had 360's, but when I asked to see the boxes the guy said none of them were Jaspers. He wasn't too friendly, but he looked like he knew what I was talking about, so again I took his word for it. - I didn't even bother checking Platekompaniet, since they keep all their stock behind the counter and I don't imagine the staff have the first clue about 360 chipsets So that's it really. I figure I'll wait til Tuesday or so and then hit all the Gamestops up again to check their new stock. Does anyone know of any other shops where they put the actual product on display? It was a pain in the ass trying to explain to staff members (especially in English) that I wanted a specific version of the 360 arcade, and how it was different from the others. It would be much easier if I could just check myself. Any suggestions?? Lenke til kommentar

lektroluv Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 The Elkjøp at Skøyen has a pretty good gaming section. Maybe you can check there? Lenke til kommentar

Langfat Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Forfatter Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Why write all this in english language? It's allright if you are english, but.. I'm Canadian but I'm living in Oslo. My Norwegian sucks because everybody wants to practice their english with me. Hvis jeg hadde proevet aa skrive paa norsk jeg skal ta 3 timer med en ordbok Plus, I don't think people on English-speaking forums will know (or care) very much about looking for a Jasper in Oslo.... Vertical^ Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 (endret) I understood he was American now. But the thing with Norway is that we are very slow with shipping the most of the newest in electronics. But i have heard that it is a few shops that has Aracde now. But i don't know wich. I believe that the most of the Arcades here in Norway is Falcon. But maybe we will get Jasper when we sell out the rest of the Falcons . So when we ship in new Arcades. I think they will be Jasper version. Send e-mails and ask? But i think the biggest shops will ge the new Jasper's first. I thinking now on shops like Elkjøp, Spaceworld, and so on. I have to practice my English too. EDIT: Fixed typing errors Endret 2. januar 2009 av Kristian94 Lenke til kommentar
Langfat Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Forfatter Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Thanks everyone! Maybe I'll try Elkjoep if the Gamestops don't get any in stock. My maanedskort ran out during Christmas and I don't want to buy a new one until I need to use it again every day... Lenke til kommentar

safags Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 (endret) Microsoft Europe has improved their shipping time. Before it could take months. But now, it takes usually some weeks. That's what I have experienced. If it inside the guarantee (guaranty?) it should be no extra cost to get it shipped and fixed. Endret 2. januar 2009 av GreVeen Lenke til kommentar
kehax Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 guarantee (guaranty?) warranty :!: Langfat: You should head out to Sandvika storsenter (shopping mall). It has a few electronic-shops. Lenke til kommentar
MindTooth Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 I would figure that the Jasper consoles hasn't appeared in Norway yet. Since the market is slower then other regions. Patient is the keyword here I guess. Birger Lenke til kommentar
Lakus Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Well, actually there has been sigthings of Jasper in Norway as weel. Read it in a thread somewhere, I don't have a link but I could probalby find it later. Aaaanyway. Even though there are some Jaspers floating around, you should consider yourself "struck by lightning"-lucky if you find one at this point. Lenke til kommentar
Essem Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 I wouldn't bet my house on finding a Jasper in Oslo. Lenke til kommentar

Dzeko Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 LOL, cool thread:D But honestly, you should be safe enough with a Falcon. As many people above me have said, you have to be really lucky to get your hands on a Jasper. So if I were you, I would rather by a Falcon Arcade, than wait for Lady Luck to smile at me. Isbilen Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 I thought MS got it right with the Falcon chipset, and that any further revisions would be mainly to reduce production costs. Lenke til kommentar
Essem Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 You don't have a house No, I don't. But if I had a house, I wouldn't bet it on finding a Jasper. I would, however, bet it on that you don't get RROD with a Falcon. Lenke til kommentar
Mala Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Getting RROD with a Falcon chipset is quite possible, trust me Chances are reduced compared to the Zephyr chipsets though. As Petter Solberg would have put it: It isn`t only only ! Lenke til kommentar
MacBain Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Del Skrevet 2. januar 2009 Elkjøp at skøyen has an arcade +lips bundle with lotnr. 845, most of the 360's with this lotnr. have Jasper hardware (according to http://www.360drives.com). Lenke til kommentar
