Stoltenberg Skrevet 16. desember 2008 Del Skrevet 16. desember 2008 Hei! Jeg har kjøpt en slik connector for å få Wii og Nintendo DS på nett. Jeg opplever problemer under installasjon. Her følger korrespondanse mellom meg og Nintendo Support: I just received a USB Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector, and have tried to install it, but I am experiencing problems. I have downloaded the latest files from http://ms.nintendo-europe.com/software/nin...xp/en/index.htm 1. I choose the Windows Vista files, the 1.06 (This is because I am running Windows Vista 64) 2. I unpack the files to a folder 3. Double-click the setup.exe 4. I am told by the setup to plug in the Connector. 5. I plug in the Connector. 6. The setup tells me it is configuring internet connection sharing 7. Then I receive two error messages: 8. One dialog box that tells me: "Please insert the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector into your computer's USB port." and an OK-button. 9. I press "OK" and the setup tells me: "Application error." and an OK-button. Dear Customer, thank you for your email. It sounds like a firewall is blocking your connection, if you go to… http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/w...NetworkTest.jsp and follow the on-screen instructions, this will test your connection to see if your firewall is allowing the wifi connector access to the internet, and will provide you with further help on resolving your issue. Kind regards, I tried your suggestion and turned off the firewall (and anti-virus), booted my computer, and tried installing the Connector, but I get the same message over again. It seems to me that the message appears while setup is configuring internet connection sharing. Which is weird because when I first install, I don't have the device plugged in, then the setup asks me to plug it in, I plug it in, and the setup continues. I guess this would mean that it recognizes the device at first, but then somewhere while configuring internet connection sharing (which by the way takes a very long time), it stops responding..?? I also tried the page you mentioned with the ActiveX-app to try and test the connection, and I got: "Your test was successful! The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector will likely work in your environment." Thanks for your quick reply earlier! If there is an internet connection sharing (or ICS for short) error then there would be some form of security software blocking this part of windows from running. To resolve this you would need to contact the makers of this software that is blocking or de-activating Windows ICS in order to continue. Kind regards, Har noen noen innspill her?
