Saint's Row 2 kommer 6 januar til PC

Det har vært mye tull om når PC versjonen av Saint's Row 2 kommer ,egentlig burde den ha kommet denne månden, men det skjedde jo ikke. Nå har vi ihverfall en dato, 6 januar 2009

 

I have some news on the PC version for everyone. First and foremost, the release date for Saints Row 2 on the PC is set for January 6th, 2009 (Ship date of Jan. 5th). This date has gone out to all major retailers, and they should all be updating their websites soon to reflect this.

 

The one question I'm sure you want to ask is, "Why was the PC version delayed?".

 

The PC version was delayed because we wanted to make the highest quality game across all platforms, but it just needed more time. The game is a port of the console version from an external company, but that doesn't mean the code can just be copied over, and ship it out. The PC version is still being produced and tested at Volition with support from the design and programming teams as needed. This is in no way a hands-off external port of the game.

 

One other time factor is coordinating the new control scheme from controller to mouse/keyboard. While the 360 controller will be fully supported for PC play, you will also be able to map your keyboard / mouse controls as you see fit.

 

There will also be a small interface change for Multiplayer. The PC version requires a little more information when connecting through a server browser. You'll now see each player's Ping, the number of players in a specific match, match names, and the ability to sort by modes (360/PS3 has this as well, but they have to create a party first).

 

A final addition for the PC version is adjustable video settings for aspects such as anti-aliasing, resolution, and more.

 

Our goal is to give PC users the same quality product and performance level which you've seen on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, along with all of the review feedback. You will not have any features missing from the game if you purchase the PC version as opposed to a console version, the entire game is packed in.

 

Once more information is known such as the PC minimum and recommended specifications, it will be posted in this thread as well.

det er bra at de faktisk tar tiden til å få det til å føles ut som et pc spill, istedet for å bare porte det uten å bry seg (host*mercs2*host).

blir spennende å se hvordan sluttproduktet blir
