  3. https://english.nv.ua/nation/denmark-claims-readiness-to-transfer-f-16s-since-start-of-full-scale-russia-ukraine-war-50447310.html Danish premier Mette Frederiksen has been ready to transfer Danish F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine from the very start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the prime minister said at the GLOBSEC conference in Prague, Czechia, on Aug. 31. "I regret that the delivery of F-16s has taken so much time," she explained.
  4. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cg4yg0k976lo Russian fighters to leave Burkina Faso for Ukraine Russia is withdrawing 100 of its paramilitary officers from Burkina Faso to help in the war in Ukraine. They are part of about 300 soldiers from the Bear Brigade - a Russian private military company - who arrived in the West African nation in May to support the country's military junta. On its Telegram channel, the group said its forces would return home to support Russia’s defence against Ukraine’s recent offensive in the Kursk region.
Raffineri, rørledning, depot og to kraftverk.
  9. https://www.ft.com/content/553c50cf-aa2c-41bc-8f4c-f8f24cee2b1a Russia’s ‘overheating’ economy to slow sharply next year, says central bank Russia’s “overheating” economy will slow sharply next year with interest rates stuck at well above prewar levels until 2027, the Russian central bank has said. Rapid growth, expected to hit 3.5 to 4 per cent this year, has been driven primarily by strong domestic demand from consumers and the state, which has outpaced supply, the CBR said in its annual report. It said acute labour shortages and the negative effects of western sanctions were crimping production. The central bank assessment underscores the challenges facing the Russian economy, despite its better than expected overall performance even with sanctions imposed by the west after Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The CBR projects economic growth of 0.5 to 1.5 per cent in 2025 and 1 to 2 per cent in 2026, under its baseline scenario.
  15. https://www.kyivpost.com/post/38245 Russian Soldiers Driven to Suicide by Kremlin Propaganda A sense of hopelessness, no means of evacuation and instilled myths about conditions if captured by Ukraine, are pushing Russian soldiers to pull the trigger on their own lives. Among Russian servicemen, the practice of committing suicide on the battlefield is becoming increasingly common. When Russian soldiers are wounded or find themselves in desperate situations, evidence suggests they quickly realize that they will not receive evacuation or help from their commanders, leading to a sense of despair, hopelessness and the perception that suicide is the only viable option. The situation is exacerbated by Russian propaganda, which actively spreads myths that soldiers captured as prisoners of war by the Armed Forces of Ukraine are subject to torture and abuse, thus making capture appear a worse alternative to death. The issue has been covered in a statement by Ukraine’s “I Want to Live” project, a state initiative which launched a hotline in September 2022 and offers all Russian soldiers a mutually beneficial deal. It guarantees them life in exchangefor “normal, humane conditions under the supervision of the Red Cross.” The recent statement reads: “[Russian soldiers] go on every assault as if it were their last, because they know that no one will come for the wounded, no one will pull them out, no one will help. Instead of radios and proper first aid kits, they carry instructions in their pockets on how to kill themselves with a grenade, pre-issued by bloated major political officers.” Suicides are often the result of bullying, psychological pressure, and a feeling of despair among Russian soldiers, especially when they are left to fend for themselves. In addition, Russian army commanders on the front lines often threaten their subordinates with severe punishment or even execution if they surrender, making matters worse. “How many thousands have killed themselves in destroyed houses, collapsed trenches, and burning forests, only God knows,” the state project statement says. “Pushed to suicide” A Ukrainian military intelligence official told Kyiv Post on condition of anonymity that there has been a wave of suicides among Russian soldiers, with numbers growing: “Some are deliberately driven to such a step by bullying, threats, and a sense of total hopelessness. Others shorten their lives, abandoned on the battlefield,” the source said, adding that extremely low value is placed on the lives of ordinary Russians. Any other way, Russia simply would not have enough human resources to conduct military operations on such a scale, especially when thousands of people are lost daily in “meat assaults,” the official explained. “They are pushed to suicide. No modern army of the civilized world would ever allow such losses.” In cases where a Russian soldier dies as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound or grenade explosion, their death is not considered to have occurred while performing a combat mission. As a result, the deceased's family is understood to not be entitled to state compensation of 5 million rubles. “A suicide is not considered a battlefield death, and no 5 million will be seen!” the “I Want to Live” project states. The project emphasizes that the reality of surrender is far from the myths being perpetuated within Russian ranks: “Unlike their commanders, we need them alive because they will be exchanged later, and we will return our people from the Russian GULAG.” According to the project: “The conscripts from Kursk, who did not listen to their commanders and [Chechen Leader Ramzan] Kadyrov's bandits and surrendered instead of committing suicide, are a living example of this. 115 of them have already returned home through exchange rather than lying in the ground.”
  19. https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-polytics/3900719-ukraines-right-to-selfdefense-does-not-stop-at-the-border-stoltenberg.html Ukraine's right to self-defense does not stop at border – Stoltenberg NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that Ukraine was fully within its rights to launch its offensive into Russia's Kursk region as an act of self-defense. He stated this to the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, as Ukrinform reports. Stoltenberg reminded that Russia has been waging an unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine for more than 900 days and has carried out numerous attacks from Kursk region, so Russian soldiers, tanks and bases there are legitimate targets under international law. According NATO Secretary General, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, made it clear that the Kursk operation was aimed at creating a buffer zone to deter Russia from further attacks. At the same time, Stoltenberg denied the Kremlin's accusation that the West was informed in advance about the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to enter Russian territory, and assured that NATO did not play any role in this. He also emphasized the need for greater support for Ukraine on the part of the Alliance so that the country could defend itself and eventually win.

The Mi-8 helicopter took off close to the Vachkazhets volcano in the Kamchatka region, but did not arrive at its destination as scheduled, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement. It said it believed that 19 passengers and three crew members were on board. The Mi-8 is a two-engine helicopter designed in the 1960s. It is widely used in Russia, where crashes have been frequent, as well as in neighboring countries and many other nations.
