Infact, I've been studying all day and now I feel a bit tired. Off to work soon, though I would rather stay home and work on my boyfriend's birthday present. Well, anyway, I'm studying English this year and I love it, can't wait to become an English teacher.

I'm home from work today. I wouldn't dare to show up at work with this unstable nose of mine. This morning I just touched it during regular morning hygiene and the blood just pored out. Imagine me handling customers and suddenly staring to nosebleed in front of them....

Ah, you're kinda like me then.

I remember when I was about 10-12 years, how my nose would insta-bleed if I as much thought about touching it, then I would spend the next 3hours over the bathroom-sink.

 

And the iron-flavor in the mouth prior to the bleeding, priceless.

Luckily, I don't experience those problems. The last time I bled from my nose was a few years ago when I picked it with a knife. Or to be more correct, my nose was itching, and since I waited for new round in some FPS game to begin, I started playing with the knife. As the knife was what was closest to my nose at the time of the itch, I used it. Of course, this FPS had some kind of bug that turned the sound up A LOT when a new round started, and another bug played the shoot sound. That scared the hell out of me and I poked a little hole inside my nose. Goddamn bugs....

That was quality... Nice to see stand up comedy with a different perspective than our domestic ones. Give us a update how easy or hard it was to understand and follow the guy. After all it is in English dough.

 

This weekend I'm by the way in Copenhagen with the firm. Update later.

Anyone raised in this day and age should have no problems following Russel Peters. I guess I do have some advantages having spent some 6 years in english speaking countries, but my friends who was with me had no problems either. The only preresquite pretty much is a bit of knowledge about english immigrant culture. If you ever smiled about an indian taxi driver, or chinese grocer this is pretty much straight down your alley.

Tonight, I suddenly felt an irresistible urge to write something in English, and went onto this forum to look for the English thread. In horror I watched as it had been pushed all the way down to the second page on the list of threads in the language section of this website. I said to myself, 'something has to be done', and ran off to the "reply" button, and then carried on my deed of writing this post.

 

Yes, this is definetely an exciting read for sure... don't you agree? I believe you should. Or perhaps not - we should all agree with only what we feel is right, either according to facts or to what we think is morally correct.

 

So, what's going on in the English thread nowadays, fellas? Nothing, I tell you. Nothing! And that's basically because we're all a bunch of slackers, too lazy to get up from our chair, sit down again and do some typing in this so very awesome language.

 

Let me see, the last post in this thread was actually made... in two days it'll be one month ago. That's quite shocking! Come on everybody, show me what you've got!

Hey Sondre, I watched one of your juggling videos, I gotta say, you're great at both juggling and English!

 

I used to juggle when I was in high school (ungdomsskole), but quit after I learned juggling 5 balls, partly 'cause of the low ceiling we have here. Hehe. It's not that tempting to go outside either now when it's cold ...

 

By the way, you're right about the use of "its".

You are attending high school when you are 14-18 years old. Ungdomsskolen are you attending when you are 13-16 years old, and Vidaregående 16-19. So neither of them would be correct to use for high school. It is completely different.
